Technologies for High-Level Waste Tank Component Maintenance and Disposal

 Much
of the equipment associated with high-level waste tank processing equipment
is long-length and highly contaminated. When this equipment requires maintenance
or decontamination and disposal, remote technologies are needed to reduce
worker exposures and increase operating efficiencies. Existing and upcoming
technologies will be tested and assessed, and based upon the results,
a suite of components will be selected and integrated into a long-length
component deactivation and decommissioning system.
